Shipping & Returns

Shipping:

Orders are generally processed and shipped the same day that they are received, as long as we receive the order by 12:00 PM (EST). Orders submitted after this time will most likely not be shipped until the following business day.

All orders under $100 are shipped by USPS First Class Mail unless otherwise requested. Your package should arrive in 3 to 5 business days, depending on your location. If Priority mail is chosen, delivery can be expected within 2-3 business days. These time frames are not guaranteed and may change depending on the speed of the US Postal Service. If you want a guaranteed delivery time, we suggest that you request FedEx Overnight, or FedEx 2 Day.  

Standard shipping by USPS First Class Mail does NOT include insurance.  If insurance is desired you must select from the other "insured" options. USPS Priority Mail includes insurance for values of $50 or less.  FedEx shipments are insured for the stated value of the package contents.

Every effort is made to ensure the timely shipping of all packages from Vanderbilt Music Company's facilities. Once the package has been placed with a shipping company, Vanderbilt Music Company has no control over the package and is not responsible for delays or loss that may occur. All claims for remuneration or loss due to a delay or loss of a shipped item should be directed to the shipping carrier.

ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS will be shipped via FedEx or, if under $200, by USPS International. PLEASE NOTE: Per our policy, international orders cannot be shipped out until the order is complete. If there are back orders in your order, we will hold the order until the order is completely fulfilled. 

Shipping & Handling for USA only

When placing your order online, please consider that FedEx does not deliver on weekends for it's standard service, even if you request Overnight service. FedEx does offer Saturday delivery, but this is a special service, and cannot be selected through our website. If you would like Saturday delivery through FedEx, please call us to place your order. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you are selecting FedEx 2-Day, you must submit your order by Wednesdays at 12:00 PM (EST) to guarantee that you will receive it by Friday. If you are selecting FedEx Overnight, you must submit your order by Thursday at 12:00 PM (EST) to guarantee that you will receive it by Friday. Orders submitted after this time will most likely not be fulfilled and shipped out until the next day, therefore you will not receive your package until Monday.

All orders over $200 in value will be shipped by FedEx so that it may be insured and tracked at any time. 

Please note that FedEx packages cannot be delivered to PO boxes. FedEx can deliver to any street or commercial address.

Returns

All returns must be authorized by a Vanderbilt employee. Please do so by calling 1-812-333-5255 during store hours and informing a staff member of the issue before returning any items. All merchandise that is returned must fulfill the following conditions:

Accessories may be returned within 2 weeks of postmark date, provided that it is returned in excellent condition. We cannot accept returns of marked/damaged merchandise. Custom made orders are not returnable. 

All publications purchased will be shipped on a NON-RETURNABLE basis. Returns will only be authorized for orders filled incorrectly or with defective publications. Requests for return authorization must be made within two weeks of delivery and must indicate the invoice number on which the materials were billed. No authorization will be granted after two weeks and no credit will be issued for merchandise unless properly wrapped and received in the same condition as originally shipped.

String Replacement Policy:
 
Vanderbilt will replace any defective strings that break within 2 weeks of placing it on the harp free of charge, as long as it is within 6 months of purchase. We request that you return any defective strings to us so that we may arrange an inspection.

If you are returning strings, we ask that you place them in a padded envelope or box so that they cannot be bent. Please note that we cannot refund for partially used strings if they are double length.
