Paul Hurst

VANDERBILT MUSIC TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE HURST PUBLICATIONS
(Formerly Safari Press)

Vanderbilt Music Company has acquired the rights to publish and distribute all Hurst Publications. Hurst Publications, originally called Safari Press, was started in 1989 by DeWayne Fulton and Paul Hurst. After De Wayne passed away in 1997, Paul ran the company on his own.

There are over 110 titles under Hurst Publications, including many hard-to-find composers such as Godefroid, Pierne, Parish-Alvars, Zabel plus others. At the end of 2006, Vanderbilt stepped in to take over the publishing and distribution of the music so that Paul could concentrate on his career.

Much of the music has been edited and re-typeset by Paul Hurst which results in a clean, fresh, crisp look and the covers which are new and standardized are printed on a beautiful sage green background.
